Toolbox for Community Change
Second, we encourage you to use the Toolbox for Community Change. This resource from Keep America Beautiful is a step-by-step guide on how to change attitudes and behavior about litter - from cigarette butts to misplaced trash to abandoned cars. From city ordinances to enforcement to volunteerism, the ideas in the Toolbox are effective and can help turn your community around.
Litter Hotline
You don't have to address littering issues alone. The statewide, toll-free Litter Hotline empowers individuals to anonymously report incidences of littering they observe along Arkansas roadways, effectively teaching litterers that their behavior will not be tolerated in The Natural State.
Businesses, Families and Individuals
Empowering businesses, families and individuals to effect change is at the heart of community improvement. For businesses, changing behavior about litter and recycling can impact both the business' bottom line and the community's economy. The good behaviors and habits families encourage at home, especially in the area of waste reduction and recycling, are a valuable contribution to community improvement.
Law Enforcement
The state's law-enforcement officers play an important role as well, and many have creatively and effectively enforced Arkansas' litter laws on our state's roadsides, waterways and public lands.
Volunteer
It truly takes an entire community to prevent litter, encourage recycling and promote scenic beautification. By volunteering your time and using the tools and resources available from Keep America Beautiful, you can be the change that makes Arkansas a cleaner place to live, work and play!
