All volunteers on April 21 are encouraged to wear green as part of national Greenout Day. Keep America Beautiful will be holding a contest on Facebook and Twitter for a $25 gift card. To enter the contest, take a picture of volunteers wearing green at your event, and post it to Facebook or Twitter, tagging the Great American Cleanup or using the hashtag #greenstartshere, respectively. The winner will be chosen at random.

$3.8 million in value contributed in 2011 to keeping Arkansas clean and green

The total value to Arkansas communities of all Keep Arkansas Beautiful (KAB) programming in 2011 exceeds $3.7 million, according to KAB's annual Volunteer Value Report filed with the Arkansas Department of Human Services Division of Community Service and Nonprofit Support (formerly Division of Volunteerism).
