The Keep Arkansas Beautiful Awards Program

And the Winners Are …

Many great programs, projects and activities across the state contribute to making and keeping Arkansas beautiful, and the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Awards Program recognizes the pride, spirit and effort that produces them.

The awards program salutes up to three finalists from each entry group within each mission category. These finalists will be honored at the awards luncheon and receive either a Distinguished Service Award, Meritorious Achievement Award or Award of Excellence. Each finalist organization will also receive two complimentary tickets to the awards luncheon in Little Rock and will have their program included in the presentation. Additionally, all finalist groups will have their projects publicized for statewide and local recognition of their volunteers and achievement.

From among the finalists, one organization will be honored as representing the most notable achievement by an entry group for each of the three mission areas. These nine organizations will receive a handsome Keep Arkansas Beautiful Award of Excellence trophy, awarded by the Governor and a sponsor representative. Plus, each Award of Excellence program will also receive a $500 cash award, provided by Nucor Corporation of Blytheville.

If your community is one that does it all, it could be named the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Community of the Year. This prestigious honor will be awarded to the community that exemplifies sustainable excellence in all three KAB mission areas.

To salute media partners that support and promote local programs, a media advocacy award will be presented to the broadcast or print publicity provider that encourages and helps community improvement actions.
