Swindell and Carroll join Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission as new board appointees

“We are excited for the new appointments of Dr. Carroll and Ms. Swindell to the KAB Commission as their vast experience in education and emergency management will aid us in furthering KAB mission and work,” said Mark Camp, executive director of KAB.

Dr. Carroll is the associate dean of Harding University’s Cannon-Clary College of Education and is a professor of education. She currently serves on several education advisory organizations and boards including the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Arkansas Scholarship Program Advisory Group and the Arkansas Department of Education’s Early Childhood Subcommittee Education/Career Continuum. Dr. Carroll will serve as a KAB commissioner for Congressional District 2.

Swindell is an instructor in Arkansas Tech University’s (ATU) emergency management department and will complete her doctoral degree in 2020. Prior to becoming an instructor at ATU, Swindell worked as a private contractor for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). She has also worked with the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management and Arkansas Department of Transportation. Swindell will represent KAB as a commissioner in Congressional District 3.
